Avondale splits fairly cleanly between residential streets off Rosebank and Blockhouse Bay Road, and the commercial stretch around the town centre and Rosebank Road’s light industrial area. Those two need different information from you. For a house, the useful details are gate access and whether there is a safe sheltered spot. For a business, it is the trading name on the building, the recipient’s full name, and the hours if they are unusual — a lot of Rosebank Road businesses finish earlier than retail.

If flowers are going to a service, we need the venue and the time, and it is worth ordering as far ahead as you can. If they are going to someone’s home, a vase arrangement is almost always the kinder choice — a grieving household should not have to hunt for a vase. Our sympathy range is arranged in restrained whites, creams and greens, and we can adjust the palette if the family has asked for something specific.
How much notice do you need for funeral flowers?
As much as you can give us. Same-day is sometimes possible before the 1:00 p.m. cutoff, but larger tributes need longer.
Can you match flowers to a particular colour?
Often, depending on what is in season. Ask when you order and we will tell you honestly what is achievable that week.
