Camellia & Co policies
Flower substitution policy
How we handle seasonal flower availability and thoughtful substitutions.
Seasonal flower availability
Fresh flowers are seasonal and availability can change from day to day. The flowers shown in our product photographs represent the intended style, colour palette and value of the arrangement, but exact varieties may vary.
When substitutions may be made
If a particular flower, foliage, colour shade or variety is unavailable, CAMELLIA & CO may substitute it with a suitable alternative of similar style and equal or greater value. We will aim to preserve the overall look, colour palette, size and character of the arrangement as closely as possible.
Where a significant change would materially alter the overall design, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you before proceeding where time allows.
Natural variation
Flowers are natural products. Colour, shape, size, stem length and stage of opening can vary, so each bouquet or arrangement will be unique. These natural differences are not considered a fault where the overall style and value of the order are maintained.
Containers, wrapping and gift items
Vases, boxes, baskets, wrapping, ribbons and gift items may occasionally differ from the photograph because of supplier availability. If a substitution is necessary, we will use an item of similar style and equal or greater value wherever reasonably possible.
Special requests
We are happy to consider requests for preferred colours, flowers to include or flowers to avoid. We will do our best to follow these requests, but availability cannot be guaranteed unless we have specifically confirmed it with you.
Questions about a substitution
If you have a concern about the flowers or item you received, please contact us as soon as possible so we can review the order. Your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act are not affected.
