Sending Flowers to MercyAscot
Camellia & Co is an independent Auckland florist. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a preferred supplier to any hospital.
MercyAscot operates across two main Auckland sites — Mercy Hospital in Epsom and Ascot Hospital in Remuera. Both are private surgical hospitals, and stays are often short, which changes how you should think about timing.
Confirm the site and the stay first
The two sites are several kilometres apart, so check which one the patient is at before you order. Ring the hospital reception if you are not certain.
Private surgical stays are frequently one or two nights. If the patient is being discharged tomorrow, flowers delivered tomorrow afternoon will miss them. Sending to their home instead is often the better call — ask the family.
What we need
- The patient’s full name
- Which hospital — Mercy (Epsom) or Ascot (Remuera)
- The ward or room number, if known
- A contact phone number
What to send
Keep it compact. A patient leaving after a short stay has to carry the arrangement to a car, so something modest and well-balanced travels better than something large.
Avoid strongly scented flowers in a small room. Tell us it is a hospital delivery and we will design accordingly — Florist’s Choice is well suited to this, since you set the budget and we choose stems that suit the setting.
For recovery and get-well sentiment generally, our range covers everything from a small bright arrangement to something more substantial for a longer stay.
Delivery
Order before 1:00 p.m. for possible same-day delivery, subject to stock and capacity. Both sites sit near Epsom and Remuera — check the address on our Auckland flower delivery page and confirm the fee before paying.
Questions
Which site should I send to?
Confirm with the family or the hospital. Mercy is in Epsom, Ascot is in Remuera — they are separate addresses.
The patient is going home tomorrow. Should I still send to hospital?
Probably not. Send to their home instead, where they will actually have time to enjoy them.
Can you deliver on the day of surgery?
Better to wait. Flowers are more welcome during recovery than before an operation, and the patient may not be in a room yet.
What if I do not know the room number?
Give us the full name and the site. Reception can usually route it, but a room number makes it far more reliable.
